St. Barnabas Church, Downham
Welcome
We are a lively, welcoming church located in the heart of the Downham Estate in the London Borough of Lewisham, near the borders with Bromley.
We are part of the Catford (Southend) and Downham Team Ministry in the Diocese of Southwark, part of the Church of England (Anglican).
Our main service is a Sung Mass on Sunday mornings at 9.30 a.m. with Junior Church and followed by refreshments in the adjacent Church Hall.
Our worship is modern catholic following Common Worship. Other services are held throughout the week and the church is usually open on Friday and Saturday mornings, providing a quiet space for prayer and reflection.
We seek to serve our local community and show the love of God to everyone.
The church is accessible and we have a loop system installed. Large print copies of the Service Books, etc. are available.
