This year St. Barnabas celebrated it 90th year, we had a great display over two weeks that showed our life over this period of time with displays of photos, vestments and other items of interest
reflecting the 90 years that the Church has served God and the people of Downham.
We then finished our two week celebrations with a wonderful service on the 13th July which was the actual day the first service that was held at St.Barnabas back in 1929.
You can see photos from our exhibition in the gallery below.
On the 7th May 2019, Revd Stuart, vicar here at St Barnabas Downham climbed the Salmon Centre climbing wall, in order to raise money to support youth services, which are in great need of financial support. He climbed this wall 8 times, which is equivalent to the height of Big Ben. As part of the Bishop of Southwark's Lent Appeal, he was aiming to show our support for our young people and those who work with them.
